I offer oud lessons in Berlin and online for beginners and intermediate players, focusing on technique, maqam (makam) music theory, and the foundations of Middle Eastern and North African musical systems. Lessons are suitable for complete beginners as well as Western musicians interested in maqam, quarter tones, Arabic rhythms, and improvisation.
Lessons are available in English and Arabic, and basic German. Lessons are offered on a monthly contract basis, which allows for a consistent learning process and regular weekly practice. The contract includes clear terms regarding scheduling, cancellations, and a short notice period.
The first trial lesson (30 minutes) is free.
In-Person Lessons (Berlin)

Wijdan (Arabic: وِجْدَان) is a term that conveys sentiment, nostalgia, and deep attachment. The project seeks to shape a modern musical identity rooted in Libyan folklore, bringing authentic melodies from Libya to the world stage.
This will be my debut album and one of the first to emerge from Libya with this contemporary sound. Drawing on Sufi/Andalusian traditions, North African grooves, and Mediterranean melodies, my music blends Middle Eastern maqamat with Oriental Jazz and global influences. Wijdan reinterprets Libyan heritage while creating bridges across cultures.
If you’re interested in the project, feel free to contact me directly.
